firewall so that I can deny any access to specific IP address’. Access will be
denied to source IP’s that: Constantly hit this website for no apparent reason;
Try to log in via secure shell; Do port scans (including on my other IP address);
Anything else that seems suspicious.

links were fixed.
2002:03:24 Note that the
embedded links contained herein do not work with linux KDE Konequeror web
browser. I do not know when I will get to fix it. It stands to reason that
other web browsers might have problems also. I think the issue is the old one
of direction of / or \ designating sub-directories.

seems to 20% makes it out, and 0% makes it in all the way in (I'm pretty sure
the mail actually gets to this server, somewhere).

that has been hammering this site for about 4 weeks, has finally stopped.

today.
In fact, I could not
“ping” anybody on the 64.180.103.* sub-net from another access point to
internet.
It seems to be O.K.

2002:02:17 System news:
There were access gaps over the last few days. I was testing Belding’s computer
and internal adsl modem on my adsl line (what a saga). I also had to re-boot my
adsl modem today (which is a rare requirement). I still haven’t figured out the
e-mail server stuff (it was so easy with linux 5.2). I am expecting to have to
do a system re-build soon, as I now realize I made some mistakes in this build.

Note that I have an
experimental amateur radio station 440mhz 56Kbaud rf-link to sfu.ca.
I have had a mail server
running on hera.rfnet.sfu.ca for a few years.
Anyway, this page is just
a test page. I hope to have better stuff going very soon. I don’t even know how
to link to other pages yet.
I would say what O.S. is
running and such, but Russell said that just helps the hackers.
