TRYOUT INFORMATION

· Most tryouts will commence mid-April to mid-May, 2002, at various locations.

· All tryouts for the 2002-2003 season to be complete by May 18, 2002.

· The U12 boys and girls will hold their tryouts the first week of April 2002.

· Registration is required at all tryouts. The following is required:

· Completed registration form.

· Registration fees by cheque only.

· For U12 a photocopy of birth certificate and 1x1 recent photo.

· For U16 a 1x1 recent photo for new player card.

· For new players to our association in any age group, a photocopy of birth certificate is required.

· Please arrive at the tryouts ½ hour before the scheduled start time for the first tryout.

· Attendance at tryouts is mandatory for the duration of the tryout. Please discuss any absences and reasons for such with the head coach.

· The schedule for all tryouts will be posted here, when available, and most tryouts will be advertised in the local newspapers.

· Players will be chosen based on their performance at the tryouts. The Player Evaluation Forms completed by your coaches will also be used for selection. Players will be evaluated on individual skills as well as team and game playing abilities. Commitment and attitude are also important factors.

· We encourage all players within our association to attend tryouts for the highest level possible. Players must be prepared to accept the expectations and commitments associated with competitive teams.

· After tryouts, the players chosen will be contacted by phone and offered a position on the team. They can choose to accept or decline that position, but they must inform the head coach of that decision.

· Players that attend tryouts and are not chosen for the team will be called as well.

· Parents and siblings are asked to not interfere with the tryout process.

· Please ensure that all volunteers helping at tryouts are aware that we ask that previous coaches, parents and anyone else refrains from coaching or interfering with the tryout process.
